Long Term Care

Long term care insurance offers comprehensive, flexible benefits to help pay for the cost of long-term care services in a nursing home, at home and at other facilities for individuals who are unable to care for themselves due to an illness, accident or disability.

You pay the full cost of this coverage.  You can get a quote directly from CNA by visiting their Web site for RF employees. New York State residents can get a tax credit for having long term care insurance by filing form CT-249.

If you work at least 50% of full-time you are eligible to enroll yourself, your spouse or domestic partner, and/or your parents and grandparents in the Long-Term Care plan.

If you are an eligible employee and enroll during your initial eligibility period, you are guaranteed acceptance.  Spouses, domestic partners, and other eligible family members may enroll at this time but their coverage is subject to the insurance carrier’s medical underwriting approval and is not guaranteed.

Note:   There is a waiting period of 6 months from the date you are hired or from your eligibility date before coverage begins.
