About the Program
The Research Collaboration Grant Program was created to capitalize on the power of SUNY systemness by encouraging new and existing inter-campus collaborations and supporting their development into long term partnerships with sustained growth.

This targeted investment aims to help faculty researchers generate the preliminary results and data necessary to qualify for larger scale proposals for future funding.

The grant program employs a rigorous peer review process to evaluate each proposal for

  • originality and significance of the research
  • student involvement
  • industry and other outreach efforts
  • ability to attract future federal, state, philanthropic or private funding
